Bil Deddfwriaeth (Gweithdrefn, Cyhoeddi a Diddymiadau) (Cymru) | Legislation (Procedure, Publication and Repeals) (Wales) Bill

One Voice Wales is supportive of a process which will improve and streamline decision making in Wales and which should result in more cost effective arrangements and improve the accessibility and accountability of Welsh law and the legislative process. The comprehensive Terms of Reference of the Committee, including financial considerations of the Bill are noted.

We support the aims of the Bill which will:

 

·         bring together and formalise:

 

·         the procedural arrangements for making Welsh subordinate legislation; and

·         the requirements for publishing Acts of Senedd Cymru and Welsh statutory instruments, and other subordinate legislation that is not made by statutory instrument.

 

·         improve the accessibility of Welsh law by:

 

·         repealing, amending and otherwise disapplying in relation to Wales provisions and enactments that are no longer of practical utility or benefit; and

·         making minor amendments to the Legislation (Wales) Act 2019
